Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

I ordered the Cajun Pasta, which was pretty good. It could have been spicier, but I love good food. They're were chunks of chicken, Italian sausage slices and 4-5 large shrimp. The portion was satisfying be and it also came with a slice garlic bread. The service was good, our waiter was very nice and helpful. He did bring the wrong drink for my husband at first, but quickly corrected it. My husband ordered a bacon cheeseburger which was ok, nothing special. He said he's had better. The bacon on it was crisp which he liked. It has a nice atmosphere

Strawberry lemonade one of the best I had. Lunch combos are total value for money.

We have eaten in Lubbock Cheddar’s for many years. Lately the quality of food has gone down. Pot pie needs some juice in it, it’s to dry, french fries tasted like they were left over and warmed up. The waiter’s after delivering your food may Check on you one time. No one ever asked if we needed refills The restrooms always need someone to check on them, they always need attention. The floors around the tables need attention throughout the day not just at the end of the day. So many more restaurants to go to in Lubbock. Improve or you will be losing people.

We visited on a friday night- first mistake- about 6 pm. We waited approx 5 min to be seated. Eythan - was our waiter. Took 10 minutes to come to the table for both drink/food orders. Drinks and salads were delivered promptly. Another waiter delivered the food, i asked then about the cole slaw and got a blank look as they repeated "cole slaw?". Eyrhan came by about 10 min later to ask if everything was OK. Not enthusiastic, I had to ask 3 times to get the coleslaw. My dad also had to ask him 3 times to give him the check...again with a blank stare and he just walked off. Food was good, restaurant was very noisy with lots of kids crying/screaming. Not a restaurant we go to frequently

I wont ever EVER go back to cheddars again. I was disappointed at first because of the limited menu. So i ordered a steak for me and my husband. He wanted his medium and i ordered med. rare. Mine was soo rare it looked like it wanted to moo, and his was almost as bad. It was nasty and cold . For 17$ i could have ate really good down the street. Cold food , and had to finish cooking it myself sad, real sad

I have eaten here many times over the duration that they’ve been in Lubbock. The food and the service has always been outstanding. Tonight’s meal was less very disappointing. I ordered chips and queso for appetizer and the chips were hard and overcooked with an odd taste to them. I ordered ribs and they were overcooked and very dry. They tasted old like maybe they’d been cooked for a while. I realize restaurants have been closed or only serving to go orders but I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. It will probably be a long time before I return.

I took the advise of reviews and chose to try this place out on a non busy time. I want to say the food came out hot and was very good. We got the blackened salmon and pot pie. It was was lacking in the cleanliness. Tables not cleaned off, entry doors looked like everyone that day ran their hands down the glass, my silverware wrapped with tomatoe sause (I think) stained napkin. The server was very short with us and only saw her (Shelby) 4 times drink order, food order, food delivery, and meal check. I would have given this place min four stars had not been for her on our first time going. The kitchen, spot on! No complaints there.

Drinks were awesome as well as customer service. Had a pecan salad which was delish!! Definitely a 5 star

Good food, eereasonably priced, good service.

Family favorite! We love the kid friendly menu items and the wait staff are always friendly. We've never had any issues with this chain and enjoy all the menu items we've tried. Love the chips and queso and the rib/shrimp combo - yummy!

Great Food and Service!

Worst experience ever. I went in for lunch today and I had never been to cheddars before. My Alfredo looked great when it came out but just didn’t have much Alfredo sauce at all. I waited my whole meal trying to wave down our server several times, I even asked another server. I never got my sauce. By the time my friends had finished their meals I was just unsatisfied and ready to leave so I got a Togo box for my food. (Which took another 20 minutes to come out, no exaggeration) we saw our waitress standing around laughing and smiling and doing everything BUT serving us. We will NOT be back.

I have never had a bad experience here, and I've been going since I was a kid. The waiters/waitresses are always so friendly and prompt, and the food is always so good! I highly recommend the Monte Cristo, and the Wisconsin Cheese Bites! You won't regret it!

Great food pretty good service just a little short with people when they get overwhelmed which is understandable but it is part of the job.

The food was good, but not delicious enough to be a regular. The salad was fresh and the mustard dressing was yummy. The portions are not big enough to share. It took at least 30 minutes to get our food. She didn't take our dirty plates, until we asked her to take them away.

Our waiter, Brian I believe, was amazing! Attentive, kind, and joyful. I wish all food service members were like him. I can't wait to come back! My grilled salmon was so delicious!!

Awesome food made from scratch. Nice decor on the inside. Feels like it would be an expensive place, but it isn't. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. Would definitely go back again and again.

The staff was very nice. Beau our waiter was the best! Meal was very good for the price.

When a birthday dinner was requested to be at Cheddar's I wasn't overwhelmed with excitement, but I must admit, this particular location is, by far, the best Cheddar's I've visited. Friendly and informed staff, and as you will notice in photos, bites were taken before photos! Topping off the positive, instead of the usual singing and embarrassing display, the manager came and said, without the hoopla, 'I understand there's a birthday being celebrated, just wanted to drop these cookies off and say, your next visit, appetizer is on me.' The birthday recipient was relieved and happy. If you happen to be invited to Cheddar's Lubbock location, go.

Great food and great service. I love going here for dinner. They have whatever you are looking for. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly.

This is our favorite place for lunch, and sometimes dinner in Lubbock. Food is all scratch made with wonderful flavors. From the Monte Cristina to vegetable plate and homemade ranch dressing. If you come early in afternoon you’ll be greeted with fresh from the oven light and airy croissants with honey drizzle, you’ll still get the Hem later in day they’re just not hot out of the oven and super soft. Broccoli is steamed with garlic, carrots with light sweet coating, Italian style green beans, yummy coleslaw and a green salad is the vegetable entree- one I get often. We haven’t had a bad or blah meal ever.

I love going to Cheddar's. However, recently the grilled white fish w/ lemon butter sauce is too salty. I've ordered it for years. Don't know if the recipe has changed, but they need to cut back on the salt and allow the guest to add additional at their table, if desired. Otherwise, the meal was fabulous!

Easily one of the best restaurants in Lubbock. Good food. Good price. Good service. I had a chicken with pasta and parmesan.. it was amazing! 100% recommended.

We had a great family dinner time here! Food was really good and awesome. Only thing we felt is that they messed up with our order, delayed the food for almost an hour and our kids had tough time!!

I know social distancing is taking its toll, but this was one of the more poor experiences I've had. I didn't mind waiting in my car before we ate, that makes sense. Our server hardly acknowledged us didn't try to upsell or communicate with us. We both had a salad and they were what were expected, but we never got our additional sides that we ordered. The server tried to get it fixed, but we were basically already finished with our meal and had no refills. Disappointed, won't return for some time if at all.

My wifes salmon had a hair in it they ran out of gravy for the chicken fried steak but the manager took care if us he and the waiter where great.

I love this place. The food is always good and the drinks are too. Sometimes the steak isn't cooked to my liking but considering it's not a steak house it's not a deal breaker for me. Everything else is always good and service is great.

One of my preferred eat out places. Value for money anf efficient service.

Had my Birthday at Cheddar's this year. Their ROLLS (served with the meal) were super delicious! AND-- the White Fish was really good! Also -- a great KIDS' MENU!

The chili is a good choice here if you like to pair it with your beer. Steaks can be dependent on who's cooking whether they are listening or not to how you like it cooked. Drinks come often and quick.

Food is always good, and got the app for free chips with cheese and hot sauce both. Food hot and our server was exceptional. Nothing was ever empty and always asking if we needed anything. Texas tech student. Sweet young lady. Love the atmosphere also.I'll go back to that one.

The blackened white fish was not "very" blackened or flavorful. Green beans were under cooked. My husband liked his fried fish plate.

tonight was a good night at Cheddar's... the steak was cooked well and those painkillers we're excellent tonight.

haven't been here in a while, but glad we came. been remodeled since last. service was fast. wait staff was very nice. food was good.

Even tho it was busy service was good. Really nice atmosphere and the food and drinks were very good. My girlfriend actually finished her plate lol.

I love coming here for dinner. The grilled tilapia with mango salsa and shrimp is the best!! Very flavorful and easy on your wallet.

Cheddar's has a great concept now. The fried fish is excellent and all their entrees are severed up hot and fresh. If you have eaten at Chedder's before and not impressed try them again. I think you will be pleased with selection and quality.

Great food. Not so great service. It was 45 minutes until we actually got our server to get our order. I understand it was a busy night and my table was a lot of people. We ended up getting our food 30 minutes before closing. I think had we shown up earlier there would have been better service.

Great food! Friendly hostess and waitress service! The blackened salmon was delicious. Best mashed potatoes and the softness broccoli. The ribs were super saucy. The steaks were cooked perfect! Dessert was a super larger slice of chocolate cake with ice cream and whipped cream. Such a great Donne.

Never been to cheddars, decided to stop by and have dinner and was not disappointed. I had the chicken fried chicken with veggies and was very tasteful, Seth was my waiter and was attentive and friendly, will definitely be back and ask for Seth’s station. The beer is cold too. 👍

I have eaten at Cheddar's a lot in the past. I had always liked there food. I grew up eating here with my parents back in the late 90's. I got a gift card for Christmas and decided to take my family here. Needless to say I was super disappointed. We ordered burgers and they were nasty. The meat was on the verge of going bad. It really sucks because I loved going here with my family as a kid, but I won't be going back.

Lately I've been getting their bourbon glazed salmon and it's wonderful!! We've been going here for about a year and I've only ever had one issue with them but it was solved by management. The servers have been nice and the food is something you can count on.
